Painter Laurenz Coninx

Laurenz Coninx a Belgian painter based in Mechelen. Armed with a Kodak camera, he captures various moments of his daily life, whether it's a bouquet of flowers or friends enjoying a party outside. Laurenz uses photographs as a source of inspiration for his paintings, transferring them onto canvas. A colourful palette, filled with oil paints and pastel techniques, results in a unique personal style with a joyful and happy mood "I want to be more positive. And I think that positivity is the driving force". He converted one of the floors of his house into his own painting studio, where he transfers his photographs onto canvas.
